Easter Vigil

I don't always go to the Easter Vigil. But I did tonight. This time I went to the Vigil Mass at St. Charles Borromeo in San Diego. Nice Mass. Father just "did the Mass" -- AS WRITTEN -- without "embellishment." Yes, it can be done. Photo's a little fuzzy, but I just used available light.
I don't know about you folks, but I'm as tired as all get out.

After the Vigil last night and after vigil social--me and Jim were ushers so had to return for the Easter day Mass--it was great--but makes one tired! How the heck do the priests do so many Masses--I'm tired!

Happy Easter Karen!

Well, Tara, you notice a paucity of activity today on the priest's blogs as a rule of thumb!

I know how you feel. I was a server at my parish's three+ hour Easter vigil which didn't end till after 11:00PM, then had to be back in the morning to serve the main Sunday mass. No time for breakfast either because I woke up late.
happy easter!

Yeah, Joe. But it's a GOOD "tired." :-D I served the 5:15 tonight, and the church was packed and really beautiful. It was like being in a field of lillies in the sanctuary. I have to say that serving Mass for me NEVER "gets old."
