0ero puts hoof in mouth - not surprising

From the "eloquent" lips of Chairman 0ERo: 'UPS and FedEx are doing just fine. It's the Post Office that's always having problems...'

Well, DUH....

Who the HELL do these people think they are?

And with 0eroCare, of course the 0eroJungen must get a proper start in life..so of course government weenies are going to visit you if you have a newborn or are planning to deliver (if you're not "they're kind of people" on has to wonder if the government will encourage you to abort.)

From page 838 of the 0eroCare Bill, under the heading "home visitation programs for families with young children and families expecting children."

The programs (provided via grants to states) would educate parents on child behavior and parenting skills.

"well-trained and competent staff," would "provide parents with knowledge of age-appropriate child development in cognitive, language, social, emotional, and motor domains ... modeling, consulting, and coaching on parenting practices," and "skills to interact with their child to enhance age-appropriate development."

Again. WHO IN THE HELL do these "people" think they are?

Check out this column.

if you're not "they're kind of people" on has to wonder if the government will encourage you to abort.

Or if the government will forcibly take your children away, from birth, as Obama's science czar John Holdren advocated back in the 1970s.

Of course, religious persons and conservatives will receive extra scrutiny.

I was so upset I didn't spell "Their" right.

Doncha just "love" the "end-of-life" "counseling" these compound words have in plan for us. But, oh, no. They're not going to be on the plan they foist on the people.

WHERE in the HELL do these "people" think they get the authority to decide to run insurance companies out of business? To foist junk "cap-and-trade" legislation based on junk science,..to DESTROY capitalism?

Forget the Maine and the Alamo. Remember the Ceaucescus.

It's all about control, Gem.

Cap-and-trade will run business out of America, leaving even more unemployed and the rest who aren't wealthy struggling to pay for the skyrocketed prices of energy and food and other basic necessities. Which, in turn, will force people to the benevolence of the government because they don't want to starve/go homeless/freeze to death in winter. Which will give the government the ability to decide WHERE you live, WHAT you eat, and HOW you heat/cool your homes.

With me so far?

On the health care front, any evil or controlling legislation can be created in the name of "reducing costs" or some other specious benefit. This would not only give government control over what procedures/medications/treatments you receive, but how many children you have (how many they're willing to pay for), how the disabled are treated, what you eat, when you exercise, etc. Pretty much anything you do with your body (except promiscuous sex with strangers - that's still an unalienable right, at least to liberals).

My mother-in-law has ALS. She has been in assisted living since the beginning of this year. ALS is progressive and fatal. She's retired, in her 60s, and the yard stick by which I measure this legislation is the kind of care she'd receive from the government. Seeing as she's not a "producer" any more, and a consumer of medical treatment, she'd be worth nothing and probably get the same level of treatment: nada.

Also, I find it rich that the same government who is going to decide if the elderly/infirm are worthy of medical treatment based on how productive their lives are have no problem giving handouts (including health care) to people who often adamantly refuse to hold down a job or contribute anything to society except an expectation of further handouts.

On the bright side, I think Obama's bad habit of being a boldface liar is catching up to him because all his reassurances about health care don't seem to be positively swaying opinions on the matter.

Amy, right on 100%. What did Hitler call people like you m-i-l? "Useless eaters?" He euthanized those first, even before he came for the Jews and everyone else he didn't like.

Doncha just like the mandated "end of life" government "counseling" -- no 'bamster doesn't want you to have actual surgery which can correct things, he just wants you to drug you until you die.

Have you noticed the number of Obama stickers now? There were a lot of them right after the election, these people proudly crowing how they voted for the dope with the change. There's less of them now. I've taken to YELLINg at these people if I'm behind them in traffic and the windows are open. Go. Ahead. MAKE MY DAY. Bring it on. They started it by voting for this Marxist we're all stuck with.

when is the economy going to start to recover? When 'bamster through having his own nose in his air falls off the Truman balcony and breaks his damn neck. The sooner the better.

Actually, the term was "useless bread gobblers", but "useless eaters" works, too.

I read (on Drudge, I think) that there's a surge of anti-Obama paraphernalia being bought. The Obama-as-Joker posters also have to be ego-bruising.

I saw this video segment from the Glenn Beck show (http://www.glennbeck.com/content/articles/article/198/29256/), it does a good job of showing how we are going down the same path as Germany circa 1933. My husband said the same thing, as did late British journalist Alastair Cooke. Beck is careful to say we haven't crossed the line into wholesale eugenics yet (I disagree - what the hell do you call 50+ million aborted babies!?), but it shows how history's repeating. But we have the benefit, unlike the Germans in the 30s of knowing history, of being able to communicate faster and in ways NOT controlled by government, to thwart this sort of stuff. If we are vigilant, we might be able to defeat it.

Oh, there isn't a doubt in my mind my MIL would have had the plug pulled by some government wienie when she was in a coma back in January. Now, if nothing else, she will be around to see her 6th grandchild born to us in two weeks (or less, I hope). Tell me that's not absolutely priceless. My other son is 2 1/2; I grew up NEVER knowing my paternal grandparents so I want my parents/in-laws around as much as possible for my kids.

Someone on The Anchoress chided me for reporting myself to that "fishy" e-mail set up by the White House. She said it was dangerous - why the HELL should I be afraid to speak my mind to the politicians VOTED to represent all of us (not just their constituents)? I will NEVER be afraid and I will NEVER back down.

Also, with his polls in decline, the coming implosion of Obama's blimp-sized ego will make for highly entertaining stuff. I plan on making the popcorn.

And WTF is Obama to be involved in ANY "end of life" decisions. Does he think this is Cuba? As far as I'm concerned he has NO business even commenting on it. The only "end of life" decision he has to make is regards himself.

Can you try doing that link again? Here's how you do it:

left angle bracket,
small letter a
space
href=
"
then past your link
"
right angle bracket
the words you want to highlight like "this link" or whatever

left angle bracket
forward slash
small letter a
right angle bracket

Look here if that was confusing. It really isn't and I really want to see vid, but can't find it.

Glenn Beck show

Let me know if that works, because I've never quite gotten the hang of doing links manually...

As for ANY politician being involved in end-of-life decisions: they should do that for themselves and THEIR family. Few of them have medical degrees and of those who do, they've obviously decided on a career in politics and NOT medicine. So keep your nose out of my business.

Oh, and in case you missed the news, the end-of-life provision that Obama assured us was neither ominous nor existed in the bill as we complained about it, has suddenly be dropped.

Ironic, no?
