I was thinking about a song I learned many years ago when I was a small girl of 9-10 and in the Soldality of Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Salem, Virginia. I found a lovely video of this song on line.
Father Krimm, the Redemptorist pastor of late and happy memory, used to sing the bottom part, while we girls sang the top melody line.

what a cute couple and a lovely song, thanks for sharing this, i never heard it before :-)
I was thinking maybe it was "too old fashioned" for the youth of today, but was delighted when in "related vids." I also saw a whole group of women and girls singing it. There was even a vid of a young man doing it. I don't know where it originated but from looking on line apparently is was a YMCA song from a long time ago. But I don't know the origins. So it's not strictly a girly thing.
Karen,
I used to sing this song as a child with my family. It's one of my favorite "oldie, but goodies."
Thanks for posting it! It brings back pleasant memories. :)
