The Photo which the Blogger Had Rejected
....turned out to be not half bad.
I had been meaning all Advent to take a picture of the singular Chi-Rho symbol early in advent and post it, saying that despite all the flashy 80 foot Santas and elves on the majority of lawns, there were still a few pockets of sanity. Right on a hillside fairly near to where I live, a resident has put up this simple display each year for as long as I can remember. This year when I'd remember to bring my camera it rained like heck or there were high winds and the lights weren't on. The only photo I got was one I thought I mussed up. So I never did that blog. Now the more I look at it, I realize it was one of those serendipity moments, that I couldn't have actually planned it that well. The ACLU must really hate it that it overlooks a major freeway and a few hundred thousand cars pass it every day -- and they can't do ZIP about it, as it sits on private property.

That is a beautiful picture. The Chi Rho (pronounced "key-row" Father Erik) is my most favorite symbol of Christ.
Thanks. I like it too. I was so streesed trying to get this stupid photo. When I'd remember to take my camera on a time I'd pass it, I'd "miss" then I thought of going town and parking across the freeway, and take a shot...which is more or less what I did, then because it was so dark and not much light I couldn't figure how to turn autoflash off because I couldn't see the buttons on teh camera, then I found a setting that didnt flash, and thought "a-ha" then I got it home.....grrrr, ..but now I'm really looking at it...if I'd TRIED to get that effect I couldn't have.
I should have already know Christ is a "force multiplier."

Karen, this is a good photograph. You could bring it into Photoshop for some sharpening, perhaps apply an artistic filter - then if you bring it to Kinko's, they can print it out on watercolor paper and it would look beautiful framed!
If you don't have Photoshop, send me the JPG and I will see what I can do with it.
Hi Digi, yeah, I do have photoshop, I left it in its raw state. I have a disk tutorial about using all the bells and whistles photoshop has to offer. This photo was a little "spin art" that turned out okay!
Karen
BTW, I wouldnt have thought of printing it out on watercolor paper!
You said you liked book memes, so I've taken you at your word... you're tagged
