Need a good laugh?

I really like the following assertion by a certain blogger who has been posting half-assed "History" lessons of how the "evil" "US is run by Free Masons" (JFK? Why, by golly he was probably one of them too, "who knows" for sure!) -- He also rants on and on how the US has "stolen Mexican land." But his panties showed their true colors when he contended:

"Another fannciful[sic] allegory of the belief that civilisation moves westward and so it was the destiny of the USA to kick the Indians and the Spanish off their land illegally, violently and aggressively"

Well, gee, sparky. It's SPANISH land? Not MEXICAN land? How did the SPANISH "own" it? Didn't they rape, steal and plunder it? You claim the evil Yankee did all that to Mexico. Oh. Right. A pope said the Spanish could have it. Was it HIS land in the first place to give to the Spanish that he stole from the Indians?

Can't have your cake and eat it too. Mother Angelica sure has some nuts on EWTN sometimes. I shouldn't wonder why this guy wants to hide under the cloak of anonymity. It would be too embarrassing.

If you want to see a really sick mind in action check out this blog. Talk about a golden sombrero. I thought crack (other than plumber's crack) was illegal in the UK.

What makes you think this guy is based in the UK? I get the impression he's holed up in some cracker-box apartment in SoCal, yearning for a home in some crimbling folly in the English countryside, but having to find his fix at Renaissance Faires locally.

I made one last comment that will probably not be approved.

"Dear Sir Tribunus Knight at Arms (if that is your REAL name), Your invective towards Americans (or at least the U.S.) is humorous at best and uncharitable at least. However you make some interesting points about the conquer, occupation and theft of Mexico. By the way, is England planning on returning Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland anytime soon?"

Me thinks he won't like it.

Well, I've noticed a paucity of comments all around, rjw.

Karen, I've been steering well clear of this guy for a while now.
I often wish EWTN was a little more cautious on who it gives kudos to.
God bless

Thanks, WSNS.

I received a reply. It is too humorous to even try to explain. You would have to see it. I'm now done with him. I am reminded of the old adage, "Never wrestle with a pig. You'll get filthy and the pig enjoys it."

RJW has it just right...can you say Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales (not to mention all the other colonies)? I'll keep our demented JFK any day compared to Cromwell and Henry VIII. I haven't read the blog you cite, but any talk about the Bushies and their connections to the Skull and Bones (?) society at Yale that is nefarious, power hungry and connected to the Illuminati and Bilderbergers. All these conspiracy theories give me head aches! I can't keep up.

Swiss: I think skull and bones is probably just a society of guys who did more panty raids than Free Masonic handshakes. Albeit in style. Same for JFK's Porcellian and Fly clubs at Harvard.

Yes, the Pope has supreme secular authority over the whole world. It's one of the sorts of authority represented by the Papal Tiara (along with his personal secular authority over the Papal States - i.e. the Vatican City State, nowadays - and, obviously, his spiritual authority over the Church).

And yes, as it happens I think the Pope did give Mexico to the Spanish, in exactly the same way as he gave Ireland to the English - and in exactly the same way arguably as he gave England to the Duke of Normandy.

Tribunus is not English or American. He's actually Australian. It just so happens though that on this particular issue he is quite correct.

Scotland was not and never has been conquered by the English. (I think Tribunus also fancies himself as a bit of a Scotsman, BTW.) The only people who have ever managed to conquer Scotland are in fact the Scots. (Let's here it for Pictish nationalism, people!)
