What? Fisticuffs!

.
It's been a while since I gave one of these out

You can't make this up - Greek Orthodox and Armenian priests throw down. The full story tells of fists, rods, and brooms being used in the melee. Irritatingly, the report doesn't say which side won the ruckus. Couldn't they have just solved the dispute by playing "Rock, Paper, Scissors?" Jeez, how many years have they been sharing this church? It makes it sound like they couldn't run a lemonade stand!

"Fair use" quote:

"Seven people were injured on Thursday when Greek Orthodox and Armenian priests came to blows in a dispute over how to clean the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem.Following the Christmas celebrations, Greek Orthodox priests set up ladders to clean the walls and ceilings of their part of the church, which is built over the site where Jesus Christ is believed to have been born. "

You'd think they'd be able to keep cool. ♪

The Church of the Holy Sepulchre is falling down for the same reason. If we Christians can't get our act together, how do we expect the rest of the world to behave any better?

I actually was grateful for a good laugh. The whole melee was just amazing. I guess we should be grateful the Catholics wern't involved.

Gem --- love your award. They sure earned it:)

Had to find out what a "HA Award" was.

I figured the "HA Award" would get you. I've only awarded it twice this year. I meant to make it a monthly occasion, but I think I'll make it like the Moscow Tschaikovsky [sp!] Competition. Keep the standard so high that in some years they don't give out a number 1 prize. That way the receipients can value the "honor" all the more. Hope you enjoyed the music selection I picked out for it. I added the little grace note just for you.

Where can I get some of those trophies? I have a list of persons very qualified to receive them.

The Franciscans were also there but stayed peaceful (no surprise there!)

Maybe it was the Franciscans who got the place dirty in the first place! You know, "passive / aggressive." Probably laughed about it all the way home! ;-D

Crusader Knight -- There really is a place on line that sells the blanks! Several, I'm sure -- but now, that I need to find it I can't. But you can probably google around and find one.
