LL Bean's a champ

Looking for something to give to somebody, somewhere and don't want to go shop? Try the nice folks at LL Bean in Maine. Nice on-line catalogue. You don't have to leave the house and they can send things Fed Ex or whatever. I got these nifty rain shoes ages ago. They have different colors, styles etc. I don't get to wear them often but I've had them for years. Yes, get the inserts. Fast freinds 24/7. Why leave the house? No. I don't work for them. But I did make the pilgrimage to Freeport some 21 summers ago. [God, was it that long ago? It was....]]

One of my favorite places to shop! I think I have three pairs of their boat shoes and they are so comfy.

Absolutely. I have never gone wrong with anything I've purchased there. Last I looked they favored things made in the USA. The "moose slippers" that are fur lined are a special treat too.

I don't shop *often* but when I must there's nothing like good mailorder. LLBean is in that category, I've been a fan since the mid-80s when I first learned of it.
I like shopping on line there and at Amazon and Barnes and Noble. BTW, Tastykakes and Steel's fudge (Atlantic City) (it stays quite fresh!) can be bought on line too. And I can get A-Treat Shipped at a premium. Birch Beer. *sigh*

Glad I checked back. You can get Tastycakes at Amazon???? I can't get it here in Hawaii. And, the fudge from AC too? Wow! Thanks.

BTW, steele's fudge is out of this world. Try the flavored kinds like pistachio and coconut etc.

All my homeschool friends are trying to turn me on to LL Bean and Land's End. Supposedly, the stuff at Land's end is guaranteed forever. One lady said her husband took a worn out pair of boots into one of the stores after having had the boots for a decade or more, just to show the sales clerk to see if they had something similar still available, and the store replaced his old boots with a brand new pair!
