TLM and the "Silent Canon"
Whatever. Glad that Jesus DIDN'T do this, though to hear some Latin Mass fans, they might argue the point. And just out of curiosity, after they "sang songs" and went off into the night, who did the washing up? Or was it catered by Moishe Feldstein?
H/T to "anonymous"in combox on Pastor at Valle's out loud(2) blog entry for the inspiration.

Who did the washing up? Probably Martha.
Probably. And I hope Mary didn't have to eat with the Finklesteins that night....not that there's anything wrong with the Finklesteins, per se....

Heheheheh... I turned your question into a meme... and you're tagged!
There ain't no "big six". In fact, shouldn't there be a seventh candle!
Careful Karen, you'll have traditionalists "praying" for you! LOL!
As for me, I'm happy to have my cake and eat it. OF with dignified liturgy, inspired by the EF.
I'm with you on the OF with dignified liturgy. Now if they'd turn the EF around, and do the readings in English, and do the dialogue Latin Mass with a NONE silent canon, and so I can hear the priest 'cuz I went through all that trouble to learn that latin...... h'mmmm....at least once and a while just for fun.
I have to say the eastern rite byzantine liturgy is awesome...but then there's that pesky ad orientem... perhaps if they positioned a tilted mirror above the altar? :-D

I think, as I said on my blog, that sometimes it takes a while to 'get it'. I didn't, at first. But then it suddenly works for you and then you don't want it any other way.
Oh dear! You're gonna hate me. I prefer 'Ad orientem'.
Well, put me in a church with a transept aisle and I can sit in the front row of that on the gospel side. God help Mrs. Murphy if she's accustomed to that seat.
:-D How nice for *you*, Father. :-D okay, you and Philip.... and all those other people who turn the picture tube contrast down!
I like the EF, although the OF dignified is great as well...Well Liturgical Abuse free Masses are good. The Eastern Liturgies seem a bit repetitive for my nature, but they are nice as well.
