Can't wait for D*A*R*K*

'been saving up rotten eggs for weeks. I'm disappointed I can't find any corn fields within 100 miles that I can steal corn out of so I can go tick tacking. So the eggs are just going to have to do.

BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

Oh man, can I remember the neighbors storming into our house one night. They thought we had blasted their house with rotten eggs. It wasn't us. It was Devil's Night in Detroit. We weren't allowed out of the house. Our house got it, too. What a mess.

Happy Devil's Night.

I'll be the one in camouflage on sentry duty behind the SUV so as to catch the lil basserds by surprise.

[Detroit? Rough hood! Charlie Manson would avoid it. BTW, The Saintly Fr. S. takes "the first" with respect to his youth on Halloween night." He has vivid memories of hiding from cops in a culvert. I don't expect it ran to outshouse tipping (outhouses being in short supply even then.) But we speculate a few old shoes got tied onto cars. I think it's outside of the statue of limitations though. I don't think he has to worry about any youth correction officers showing up on his doorstep.

LOL - you get 'em.

Detroit was rough even 40 years ago. Drug selling was rampant. By the fall of 1970, there were armed guards at the doors of my high school, and the doors were chained closed during class time. We were checked in and out of the building. Of course, that was the Kent State and MLK riot days and the heroin/LSD days. OMG, I can't believe that it was that long ago!!!!

PS - My high school was in the "good" part of Detroit.

Packrat, "4 dead in O-high-o" Sheesh, it's hard to really believe 69-70 was FORTY years ago. That was my 8th grade year.

It occurs to me that young teens today probably think of the late sixties and early 70s like I thought of the 1920s. Quaint.

:-D[In the way that Janis Joplin and Jimmy Hendrix OD'ing were "quain." Jeez, Judy Garland died that year too.
