Happy New Year to Everyone Except Cardinal Mahony

and I mean that!

[Sucks to Mahony...for at least the third year running this dirtbag doesn't seem to think people who have the day off anyway can get their a$$e$ to Mass on Friday -- so in theory it's not a "holy Day of Obligation" for Jan 1.]

Either it's a Holy Day or not. Make up your damn mind, hoser.

What? Attend Mass and miss the Rose Parade and all those bowl games?
I'll go to Mass anyway.

I cannot remember the last time Mary Mother of God was a Holy Day in Australia. I remember going as a child every new years but it hasn't been a HDOO for as long as we have had children.

Happy New Year Karen.

Thanks all. As it was, I attended a lovely high Mass.

And at the end they sang my favorite song "Angels we have Heard on High."

I wasn't feeling very well Christmas day itself, but still had gone over to Fr. Shipley's house to assist him at Mass that day - but there was no music. So this made up for it.

Hahaha, Happy New Year Karen :)

Actually, I am wishing Mahony a happy new year (1 year til he's forced to send in his retirement papers)

Awww, c'mon Gem, tell us what you REALLY think. Hah!

In the meantime, I see that those who pestered Martino into retirement just won't shut UP. Just check out some of the comments for a belly laugh. Link

Hi, JD -- thanks for posting. I think I'm starting to feel human again after being out of sorts and sickly for almost the last month -- so sorry late in noticing your response!
